Ride For Animals Fundraiser
Story
We have decided to participate in a 95km charity bike ride from Gippsland to Bairnsdale on Sunday 22nd March. This is a massive challenge for us as both Antawn and I have not ridden a bike since we were teenagers. We will be spending many evenings and weekends training for this event as we are really passionate about the cause. We will be riding alongside other Royal Canin associates to help raise much needed funds for Animal Aid Pet Shelters.
Animal Aid is an animal welfare organisation dedicated to the care of stray and surrendered animals.
Each year Animal Aid receives around 6000 animals in need of a second chance. They welcome cats, dogs, pocket pets and small livestock into their shelter and care for them until they can find them new, loving homes.
Animal Aid is an 'Open Door' shelter, which means they never refuse an animal in need. They believe that all animals deserve the safety and comfort of a loving home and they aim to provide that opportunity to every animal that comes through their doors; whether that be through reuniting a lost pet with their owners, or finding a new forever home for an abandoned animal.
Animal Aid receives no government funding and relies on the generous donations and assistance provided by the local community.
